Insurance companies are constantly trying to improve profits by changing the rules of the game. In California a new law was proposed a law that seems to make life better and fairer for everyone, but then you read the fine print and when individuals read it they find they really are not willing to get screwed over. It is a pleasant thing to see that consumers fight back and see through all the misinformation. At times it saddens me that so much of the traditional media is disappearing. There are fewer and fewer newspapers and magazines and it makes you wonder if the public is keeping up with what is going on. With so much entertain available are we opting to keep entertained in exchange for a loss of information and essentially our freedom ?

Most if not all of us assume our homes are safe. If you happen to live in a two story house or an apartment complex you have windows. They appear to be safe, but I see my child climbing on a chair looking down demanding the attention of his sibling, I can see how a careless babysitter can allow your child to plummet to his death. That would not necessarily result in the need to hire a local orange county wrongful death lawyer, especially if it happens that the babysitter is a 16 year old. In such a case, there is nothing you can do, you child’s death would be without any type justice no criminal prosecution no civil liability. Perhaps the babysitter would suffer a mental scar for the rest of her life. In some cases the windows have other problems, sometimes they are too old and child suffers serious injuries upon impact or falls out upon impact with a window. Sometimes the windows are too low. Sometimes they are sliding doors that collapse or break. Sometimes it is balcony that collapses and several persons are injured instantly. On occasion a floor collapses causing injury those on the higher floor as well as the those in the lower floor. A lawyer cannot heal or undo what has done and can’t only work with what is available under the law. In a perfect world the ground would be spongy and you would not feel fear, but would looking forward to bouncing on it. A lawyer would heal and undo and put you back to where you should be.

In the real world everyday life is full or risk. You can’t even leave your home or stay home for that matter without risk. The act of staying still in your home necessarily means risk. Generally speaking you assume there is no risk staying home, but what if there was a meteor somewhere in outerspace heading directly for your home. If you stay home and do nothing there is a risk you will be killed by a meteor. The same is true of satalite heading for your home. A mans, home is a man’s castle, except that it is full of peril. You might get bitten by your own dog, your beloved 2 year child might be attacked and killed by your trusted pit bull dog. Sad, offensive as it may seem, it is true. You can very easily lose your child to your own dog. The animal you trust to protect your child could take your own child’s life. How do we know this, because we have actually seen it happen. It matters not where you live, how special you think you are, how wealthy you think you may be, how miserably poor and destituted you may think you are, you are not immune. Often the injury occurs because of someone else’s fault. When it is someone elses fault you call a lawyer. If you are in Long Beach, you call a Long Beach dog bite lawyer, if you are in Santa Ana you call a Santa Ana dog bite lawyer, similarly you would call a riverside dog bite lawyer, or an Irvine dog bite lawyer or whatever city you happen to live in. Not a solution, just a means of getting some justice done, but how can you get any justice for the death of your child caused by your own dog ? How can you even live with the guilt ? Such a heart braking experience. It makes wonder why life must be the way it is. Why must there be so much pain, why must we hurt so much ?

In my utopian world, there would be no need for dog bite lawyers. Dogs would have rubber teeth as wished for in the movie “oh, brother were art you.” Dogs would be truely loyal and not leave you for better food from a nearby neighbor. The gently rubber teeth would turn into jagged steel daggers when need to protect you for a thief or one attempting to harm me. In my utopian world dogs would live as long as people and die at the same time. They would not die preamaturely and cause great pain. They would be life companions and human’s best friends, not just man’s best friend. Dogs would not reproduce unless there was a need for another dog. If they reproduced they would reproduce only once every 10 years. Life would be better, life would be different.
